4k to DVD disc
OK i am on Premiere pro cs6, i drop 4k in the timeline it asks me to change settings, great don't need to mess around it imports nice, i can then export the footage to vimeo you tube no problem to match sequence settings. But how do i burn 4k footage to bluray discs?? Or is that not possible yet, does encore trans code the footage to Full hd instead of 4k...Steve

Re: 4k to DVD disc
Down-res your beloved 4K down to mere HD video. Then make a BluRay disc.

Re: 4k to DVD disc
Dont use Match Sequence Settings: you are using the preview codec. (I frame only mpeg)
Just use a preset. You can edit 4K and send it to Encore for BD if you want. I would use a 1920 timeline just to be able to zoom in and or to reframe. Export with AME and import the files into Encore.

Re: 4k to DVD disc
Thanks Andrew, Ann, when i drop the 4 k footage to the timeline it asks me to change the sequence settings so that's great as it then scales auto to the 1080p timeline no scaling to do from me so that's good. So really then just burn the 4 k footage to Blu-ray disc normal H264 settings in Encore?
So in actual fact the camera companies are still way ahead of everyone as i cannot find 4 k DVD discs and i cannot find a re writer burner DVD to write 4 k to the new 4 k discs that are not out...Whats the point?? I hardly burn Blu-Ray as it is? |

Re: 4k to DVD disc
Hi Steve, couldn't you make a 4K file for MP4 to USB? 4K tvs should have a USB input, although ou will have to break the video into shorter chapter files, but that would be the same as writing a long HD MP4 file.

Re: 4k to DVD disc
Hi Roger will try that, it worked last time but only lowered bit rate but still produced good HD video, will try on my USB, cheers
