Final Cut Pro 7 to Adobe Premiere Pro training
Hi,
I run a small production company and we recently (well, today) moved from FCP to Premiere. When I moved from Avid to FCP 10 years ago, I was a front-line editor and I taught myself, participated in some forums, went to some user groups and got it pretty quick. My one full-time editor needs a little more of a structured system to learn. I'm considering subscribing to Lynda.com again, and having the two of us do maybe an hour a day of Lynda.com to pick up some tricks. Any alternative suggestions before I sink some cash into Lynda.com? |

Re: Final Cut Pro 7 to Adobe Premiere Pro training
Lynda.com is highly recommended. Also there are lots of specific instructional videos at adobe.tv. You will find some quick tips at this site: 10 Premiere Pro CC Tips for Final Cut Pro Video Editors - The Beat: A Blog by PremiumBeat
Made the transition myself several years ago. You can, if you choose, set up the keyboard shortcuts to emulate FCP's shortcuts, although this may cause more confusion as you get into Premiere than it's worth.... Also, see Kevin Monahan's sticky on the subject at the top of this forum. Last edited by Battle Vaughan; January 5th, 2015 at 10:46 PM. |
