Dynamic linking creates a new comp for every clip
Hi All,
I'm having a little trouble with dymanic linking between Premiere and AE. Whenever I use dynamic link in Premiere to "replace with after effects composition", AE opens and imports each of my clips or assets onto their own composition - then each of these comps are nested into the main composition which is linked to Premiere. So instead of all my layers being individual clips, they are actually separate compositions, which means I am unable to apply tracking or stabilisation (ie, the whole reason I'm using AE in most cases). From watching dynamic linking tutorials this does not seem to be the correct behaviour, and I don't remember it always working this way either. I'm working in CS6 with all the latest updates. I've got a mix of 720p and 1080p footage on a 720p timeline in Premiere. I've got 'scale to frame size' switched on in Pr if that makes a difference. Is this how it should be working or is there some setting I've overlooked? Thanks in advance for your help! |
