Automating Chapter Markers in Premiere Pro CS5.5
Hi all,
Need some help if possible, on a larger video to DVD project a long time client asked me to tackle for him. I'm currently capturing files from his Hi8 tapes using a Sony deck thru an ADVC 110 box as .avi files. I then clean them up a bit in Premiere Pro CS5.5, then export the Premiere Pro timeline into Encore and author the DVD's I now know how to use the Chapter Menu Index feature to automatically create linked menus for all the chapter marks. But I am now looking for a way to "automate" creating the chapter markers themselves. Does Encore (or Premiere Pro) have anything that can detect changes in scenes automatically? For example can it locate starts and stops in the tape and be set up to automatically put chapter markers at those locations? I know Encore can do it by time intervals, but I'd rather place then where the scene actually changes. If that's a possibility, it would be a huge time saver. Since this is a rather low margin job....it could really help. Thanks in advance, SW |
