Problem exporting 5D3 Footage

OK so I change the extension to .mpg from .mov as is generally recommended to get the clips to playback on the timeline but when I export I get 'Failed - Unknown Error' every time it comes up against one of these clips - I can delete the 5D clip from the timeline and export but it will stop with the same error when it comes across the next 5D clip - very consistent.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Pete

Which Premiere version, Mac or Windows.
Windows: make sure you have the latest QT installed.

Re: Problem exporting 5D3 Footage

Thanks Ann - I'm using CS5.5 in Windows 7 - This machine is not connected to the net so I've downloaded the QT Installer from Apple on my laptop and moved it across and will install later today - will post my result.

Re: Problem exporting 5D3 Footage

Well I've updated QT and the same - exports timeline fine until it gets to a 5D clip then 'error compiling movie - unknown error' I'm stumped but it's a real problem. I should point out that the 5D footage plays fine from the timeline - can also render with no problem

Re: Problem exporting 5D3 Footage

Well it seems that export to Cineform AVI and H.264 is ok so the issue is exporting 5D MOV clips to MPEG2 - any ideas anyone?
