1D C & Premiere Output Advice Needed.
First time editing 4k footage and I'm basically looking for advice on the best codecs to encode the final file.
I've spent a whole day Googling and reading but I'm not really none the wiser. One of my tests was Cineform Studio (free version) but despite the file encoding and finishing there is no file outputted. Strange. May be the free version doesnt encode 4k? So once again, how are you encoding 4k footage in Premiere (Windows 7)? |

The way I did it (in Vegas) was to render an uncompressed avi intermediate, then feed that to x264 to produce a 28 mbps 4k h.264 file. The result was beautiful.

Re: 1D C & Premiere Output Advice Needed.
Thanks Tom
So far my best result by far has been encoding Main Concept 264 with a bitrate of 60+ mbps. (file extension is mp4) I am yet to find a worthwhile result for a quicktime (.mov) codec. |
