import audio FX -is this normal
I'm using CS5 adobe pro premiere 5 and while importing a Sound FX have encountered a strange(to me) problem. It is not a problem as far as the editing result is concerned but it is something I don't understand. When importing the Sound FX into the timeline, the said FX will only appear in Audio Track 4 upwards. It will not import to audio track 1,2 or 3. Even when these tracks are empty. Once settled on track 4 the fx will not move to either of 1,2 or 3 track. Can anyone enlighten me why this happens or is it normal.

Re: import audio FX -is this normal
It depends on the audio format that track expects. So if it's a stereo track, you can't drop a mono sound file on it, drop it below the last track and it appears in a new one. Same with audio from some consumer cams that have 5.1 audio, these will not drop onto a mono or stereo track. To be honest, I usually delete all empty audio tracks and then I only have active tracks once material has been put on them. Quite normal.

Re: import audio FX -is this normal
Thank you ANN. I have sussed out how to make the mono sound FX into a two track FX ands so the FX will appear on track 1,2 or 3. on the timeline.
