guitar video idea i have
Hi guys, would appreciate any feedback on how to make this idea work.
I want to make a classical guitar music video. I want each string to be a different colour from where the guitarist presses on the fret upwards, but lower frets remain normal colour. I was thinking of doing it in premiere with the replace colour effect...I would have to duplicate the footage and place it directly on top of original footage. Then mask out most of the shot except the top string and apply the change colour effect. Then for each other string I'd haver to duplicate footage and mask out all but that string (and animate the mask frame by frame) and replace colour to a different colour. All in all it woulkd mean 7 video layers. Probably better done in after effects though. Any thoughts come to mind? Cheers, Brian. |

Re: guitar video idea i have
Is this by way of the sort of special effect you might have in a rock video, or for visualising the fingering as an educational aid? If the later I suspect it would be easier to have a graphic of the guitar neck and fret board as a lower third, and animate that. If the latter, well that sounds like quite a piece of work.
You could possibly overlay the neck with a graphic repesentation of it.
