importing .mov imx 50 into PPro 5.1
OK when I copy these quicktime files from FCP onto windows 7 they just play audio and then won't import into PPro. Movie inspector says they are IMX 625/50, 1048x576.
Can someone tell me what I need to do to get them into Pro please. |

Re: importing .mov imx 50 into PPro 5.1
These appear to be Betacam files. If you can't save them in FCP as ProRes (which the PC version of quicktime will open, but not save as), there is a conversion program I found by googling: disclaimer I have no personal experience with it: QuickTime IMX for QuickTime and DirectShow|nanocosmos
When you have a problem of this nature, it is almost always a lack of the proper codec on the playing computer. |

Thanks Battle that site and download did the trick - bit expensive at $100 but what a time-saver this will be.
The old files were originally XDHD imported onto FC server and transcoded as pro-res and they are always a tricky codec to reuse in windows and premiere -this seems to be the only site that offers a decode. Cheers mate |
