Media Browser Icon View Arrangement
FCP switcher learning PP CS6, so if this is elementary I apologize upfront.........
When opening a project bin folder and viewing it in list view all of the media is arranged sequentially in clip order beginning with the first clip. However, when viewing in icon view the media is arranged as follows: 20120094_01 MP4 ........... 20120070_01 MP4, then a group of 20120119_01 MP4 ........... 20120095_01 MP4, and then a group of 20120043_01 MP4 ............ 20120019_01 MP4, and finally a group of 20120069_01 MP4 ........... 20120044_01 MP4. What I would expect would be 20120019_01 MP4 ............ 2012119_01 MP4, all in sequential order numerically. I love the icon view and being able to scrub through each clip, but the mixed order is confusing and adding time to the edit having to locate out of order clips. Any suggestions welcomed and thanks in advance. |

Re: Media Browser Icon View Arrangement
I have been using premiere for the last 2 years and wondered this exact thing, it's really weird it just shows all the icons in a weird order but in list view it's sequential. Whe you are editing shots in a sequential order like a wedding highlights video, it does make it a little more tedious. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: Media Browser Icon View Arrangement
You cannot sort in the icon view.
The initial set up was to use it as a storyboard. But now we got hover scrub it a different ballgame. To get that sorted file a feature request: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/...?name=wishform |

Re: Media Browser Icon View Arrangement
Let us know how you'd like them sorted: Same as List, A-Z order, Duration, Length. It would be cool to reverse the order too.
Feature requests: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

Re: Media Browser Icon View Arrangement
Same as list works for me as I primarily shoot weddings and tend to edit in somewhat of a chronological shot sequence. Will feature request this though.
Thanks Kevin. |
