What's a good format for iMovie?

I shoot with a Canon XF-100, which creates MXF files. I edit on a PC with Premiere Pro CS6.

I will be needing to deliver some video footage to a client who will be doing some further editing in iMovie. Being a Windows guy, I'm not sure the best format for iMovie. I want to give her 720p files in good quality, but not nearly as large as the original MXF files. She will want to do some editing and eventually burn to a DVD or upload to YouTube. I want to give her something supported natively by a Mac but won't have noticeable artifacts or blocking.

Would a 720p H.264 MP4 file be the best compromise between quality and file size? If so, is there a recommended bit rate?

Thanks.
