video editing on Photoshop CS6
Now that Adobe's released the Photoshop CS6 Beta has anyone tried to see how it measures up as a video editor? Apparently it has CUDA support, multiple video and audio tracks, etc. If its as smooth as they say it'll be I'm definitely doing all my color grading there! Any thoughts on the matter?

Re: video editing on Photoshop CS6
Haven't tried yet as I didn't know about the public beta! Thanks much for the heads up. Released yesterday (21 Mar 2012) and can be found here:
Download Adobe Photoshop CS6 Beta - Adobe Labs I'm downloading now but probably won't have time to give it a close look until the weekend.

Re: video editing on Photoshop CS6
I've been playing with Photoshop CS6 since forever! (actually for about an hour yesterday afternoon)... The video editing is, in my mind, very rudimentary. Yes you can edit and output a finished video with titles and simple transitions. The thing I like best is that you can add adjustment layers to the video tracks (video groups in CS6 parlance)! I've played with a few clips and added a "Levels", Saturation, Brightness, and other adjustments. Quick, easy and non-destructive.
A color correction solution? Maybe not. A quick color correction tool? Looks like a winner. |
