Next Edit command
I just switched from FCP and have set the keyboard shortcuts to FCP7. When I'm in the timeline and hit the next edit command (up), or the previous edit command (down), nothing happens. When I click in the viewer window and then hit the commands, they work. Is this something Premiere doesn't allow? Can I really not go to next or previous edit when I'm working in the timeline? Or is there something I've missed setting up? Thanks.

Re: Next Edit command
The Premiere default is page up/page down. Go to edit >keyboard customization, scroll down to "go to previous edit point" and if it is not "up" as you want it to be, (i.e., up-arrow) just change it. Similarly for "go to next edit point" which may be page-down, just change it by hitting the down arrow and save. Also, be sure the track is activated (click in left-hand pane with the track number in it to turn it light grey) as these shortcuts don't work except on active tracks.
