Sharpening out-of-focus shots in CS5.5...
On a wedding Im cutting right now, I have some out of focus shots that for sure need sharpening before I deliver. Im using CS5.5. Is there a plugin or technique I can use to make this footage more usable? I will have to remember to ALWAYS bring my glasses with me!!
Thanks in advance. Doug |

You can use "sharpen" and "unsharp mask" combination, if its really bad, or "unsharp mask" alone.
If you use "sharpen" you will need to reduce noise before you put it in. |

In addition to Dominik's suggestion, try using Levels and/or Curves. I've often saved the day by working with these two. Increasing contrast can give the appearance of being sharper.
Regards & best of luck, Doug. |
