CS 5.5 butchers CS 3.2 project imports

Very inconsistent and frustrating.

I'm a very long time ( 4 years +) CS 3.2 user.

When I open up CS 5.5 to import one of my CS3.2 finalized master projects, the resulting audio after being imported/converted into CS 5.5 goes crazy. It was perfectly synced in the CS 3.2 project timeline in the irst place.

Just as often as not, the quality of the AV sync (which process was done manually with many clips and is tedious) only remains as it should be for some part of the project when played back on the CS 5.5 timeline. Some parts are definitely skewed, other sections are a little off and the rest is perfect like it should be.

Entirely unpredictable.

There are cases where CS 5.5 got the CS 3.2 whole import right as far as the audio is concerned but that's not often.

Where do I go from here? Can anything be done?

I use CS 5.5 to export to tape and for other purposes.
