Thoughts on Upgrading CS5 to 5.5?
For those who have upgraded to CS5.5 from CS5, what are you thoughts on stability? I had purchased 5.5 when it was first released but had too many problems, so, I was wondering if the issues with BlackMagic Design cards have been worked out and if AE is as reliable as CS5. I don't need Audition and do not like the Warp Stabilizer so what other 'upgrades' are worth it?
FYI, I would buy the Master Collection upgrade because I need InDesign. Thanks. |

Re: Thoughts on Upgrading CS5 to 5.5?
Hi Steve,
We upgraded from CS5 Production Suite to CS5.5 Master Collection to get InDesign too (bought from Amazon.com for several reasons, NOT Adobe). CS5.5 is working fine on a 64 bit HP Win 7, CS5 also worked fine with no problems. The only "snag" was upgrading our 4gigs of RAM to 8 gigs due to AE playing at half speed. Wish we could go to 16 gigs of RAM, but that would mean a new computer. Regards, Doug. |

Re: Thoughts on Upgrading CS5 to 5.5?
Steve
I upgraded to CS5.5 when it was released and have had no problems running on Win7 pro, Intel i7, 24GB RAM, Quadro FX 3800 GPU. It seems as rock stable as 5.0 was. I do not have Black Magic or similar card onboard. I have always favored Audition, so I'm glad to see the new version, but otherwise it all seems about the same as CS5.0
