Re: Quicksync
Randy,
There is a plugin from Intel that enables QuickSync in Premiere Pro CS5.x. However, that plugin is still in the evaluation stage, and is currently missing support for some export formats. For example, the QuickSync plugin does not currently support output to either DVD or Blu-ray (at least not without requiring image-quality-damaging re-compression). Currently, the QuickSync plugin supports output to MPEG-2 and H.264 - but the streams are not DVD or Blu-ray compliant. In addition, QuickSync is of no use if you're using an i7-9xx (LGA 1366), an LGA 1156 system or a Sandy Bridge system based on a P67 motherboard (which requires a discrete GPU just to even use anyway). QuickSync only works with the LGA 1155 (Sandy Bridge) CPU's integrated Intel HD Graphics and a motherboard based on an H- or Z-series chipset. |
