Premiere to After Effects
Hi to all,
I'm trying to import a Premiere Pro project into After Effects for some CC, I watched a tute and the guy dropped the comp in and it fanned out and created staggered layers to reflect all the cuts done in Premiere. When I do it, I end up with all cuts beginning at the start of the comp (all on top of each other). Is there a switch or button I have to toggle to make this happen? Checked preferences and unchecked Create all layers at start of comp, but then they just end up all on top of each other wherever the CTI is. any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Premiere to After Effects
In AE you can go to File>Import> and then something like "Premiere Pro sequence". This will bring up a window where you choose which sequence you want to import.
Alternatively, you can select all your clips on the premiere timeline and "copy", then create a new comp in AE with the same resolution and framte rate and "paste" the clips directly onto the timeline. They should be staggered exactly as they are in premiere. |

Re: Premiere to After Effects
Thanx Brian,
Import premiere Pro sequence had the same problem for me, but, copy and paste worked fine.
