cfa and PEK files ??
Did a search..... no answer
Is there an easy way to get rid of these?? They always come up in my media HD and sure clutter up the drive. I think I read that it was safe to delete them. Can I have them come up somewhere else?? |

Re: cfa and PEK files ??
Can i assume you know what these files do?
If so, you know they're necessary for audio playback.. If you've got deleted projects, or don't have use for any of these files linked back, you can clean out the Media Cache database.. |

Re: cfa and PEK files ??
Was wondering this too.
Is there a way to make a new folder and have them all in one place rather than across all source media folders?

Re: cfa and PEK files ??
In Premiere preferences in the media section you need to uncheck the option for storing media files alongside the source files. Then they will all be created in the media library folder.

Thanks Bart.......... That's the very answer I needed most of all. You win the prize :)...........
" you need to uncheck the option for storing media files alongside the source files. Then they will all be created in the media library folder. " I knew about putting in other folders, but I didn't know if it was necessary for those cfa and pek files to always be placed along side the original media files........... Thank you so much ! |
