Modifying Seperate Channels in Stereo Track Premiere CS5
Hi guys. How do I turn down the audio volume of one channel in a stereo track without modifying the other channel. I had a shotgun mic in my left channel and a lavalier mic in right. The lav mic is way too loud and distorted and I would like to turn it down in Post in Premiere CS5. If it can't be done I also have soundbooth cs5. Thanks

you can use the two channels as two mono channels instead of one stereo. In the project panel right click on the clip and choose modify - audio tracks.

You can use channel mixer to modify separate gains for left or right.
But you can also use Fill Left (or Fill Right) to fill one channel with the other one: this way the bad audio is gone and the good track is on both left and right. Checking out and trying the different audio effects (from the stereofolder) will help you find a lot of anwsers ;-)
