New Laptop
I am thinking of getting this laptop, is it a good choice for CS5 and AVCHD editing?

Re: New Laptop
The specs don't mention an eSATA port, they do mention the lack of firewire ports and with only a single HDD that could be the deal breaker IMO. For the rest it looks good, but you really need at least 2 but better 3 7200 RPM SATA drives.

Re: New Laptop
Thanks for the reply I was thinking of going USB 3 for the editing. Its hard finding a laptop with Firewire ports these days its kind of a dead interface for laptops anyway.

Re: New Laptop
You can also use a RAID over gig-ethernet, if you can't find USB-3 port.
