Feature How To Request - Video overlay
Hello I filming WRC/Rally type videos and while watching Eurosport for the IRC Monte Carlo Rally they overlayed 2 clips together:
YouTube - IRC 2011 Monte Carlo Review Day 1 Part 2 0:45 seconds in and you'll see what I mean. Any ideas how to do that? |

The only idea I have is that they use pre-programmed camera movements on the tripod, so the pans and tilts are absolutely identical. Then it is easy. They use this technique quite a bit with high speed sports events, like downhill skiing as well and they can create these views in a matter of seconds.
Pre-programmable motorized tripod heads with not be cheap however. Have a look here: Weatherproof Motorized Pan and Tilt Systems, Everything you need and ready to use. Everything is complete and is ready for immediate use. Comes as a complete package with everything needed. We supply all the equipment necessary for a complete system. or search on Google for: "programmable motorized tripod head movements". Here is another link: Kessler Crane’s Motorized dolly and tripod systems now shipping! | Philip Bloom or PEACE RIVER STUDIOS: 3Sixty and 3Sixty Jr. |

The TeamPro version for students is $ 1,560 in the US. Wonder how many students can afford that?

I did download the trial version and it does seem good but the software seems rubbish to use.
Anyone know of any Pr Plugins that would do this? |
