Metadata will not save with AVCHD footage using On Location
On Location CS5 will not save metadata with my AVCHD files shot on a Sony Handycam. The metadata saves just fine for all of my mpeg files that were shot using an XH-A1, but will not save with the Sony Handycam AVCHD files. Every time I restart On Location all the information I added in my previous session is gone for the AVCHD files. I've done some searching and haven't found anyone else posting about this problem so I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong here. It's strange because it works perfectly fine for the mpeg files, but not for the AVCHD files. I should specify that I'm importing all of these files manually into On Location CS5 and then going through and adding the metadata.
Does anyone have any tips or advice? Or has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks so much, Justin |

In a similar vein, I've just noticed that Premiere CS4 won't/can't edit my AVCHD metadata with its speech-to-text tool. I wonder if AVCHD doesn't support 'added' metadata, or rather if Adobe just doesn't support AVCHD fully.
