Gamma shift on export??

High all...

I've just noticed, for the first time actually.....One of my customers caught it unfortunately.

Workflow.
I work with HDV 1440x1080 30fps..
I've been happy with the workflow, but only recently have noticed that the gamma seems to shift.
I'll try and get some snapshots.

I compare this with an export of a Matrox .AVI.
The colours are more dynamic, whereas an .m2v export, the colours seem to loose its' lustre...

Is this a codec problem, or is anybody else getting this?
