How to mix different sources,D550 & EX1
Hi!
Already looked couple of nights answer for my question but havn't figured out how to proceed. Anyway - question is how to mix different file types correctly, files wich have different dynamic range. as far as i know 550 movs have 0-255 dynamic range, and EX1 mp4 have 16-235 range.Or premiere handles these files already correctly?or some filter needed for eos 550 video? I'm certain that the EX1 will shoot 0-255.
Out of the box the the EX1 looks a little flat. Adjust the in-camera settings so that the EX1 makes better use of the dynamic range available to it. As far as file type mixing - Premiere should mix it in the timeline without issue so long as your scan type (progressive, interlace) remains constant. If all else fails you can transcode the footage to an intermediate codec. |

File types mixing
Thnx !
Figured out that premiere handles different file types quiet well,If media player shows up 550 files more contrasty, then premiere shows these files up as they must to be i guess. Also tryed Neo Scene, seems that original files vs neo scene files almost identical in premiere playback window.Little colour shift in reds to my eye only. Lillte bit off topic, but when i switched my monitor to Dell 27'' ips panel, also premieres playback window different than with my old LG24'',as far as i know, dell monitor understands what kind of programm i'm using, and switching dynamic range to video work or something. Kind Regards Raul |
