Premiere Pro CS3 Question
Hello
I am considering purchasing a Canon Vixia HF S100. I've done research and everything looks good. I edit with Premiere Pro cs3 and Encore cs3. Will I have any problems editing in the new HD format? I have read that I may need CS4. What do I need to do? Hopefully I can get by with CS3. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Harry |

Premiere CS3 does not natively support AVCHD (which the HF S100 records in).

I believe I can upgrade to CS4 for $199 but can I keep Encore CS3?

CS4 includes Encore CS4, so why would you want to keep Encore CS3?

I should wait just a little bit. CS5 is just around the corner.
You get a free upgrade if a version is bought with a certain time prior to the release of the next on. I assume it will be the same for CS4 and CS5 but i do not know the timelimit. |

Thanks for your reply. I did read that this Monday, Apr 12th, CS5 will be announced. Also that a free upgrade will follow as you said. I will wait. Thanks again Harry |
