Audition CS2/CS3 and SoundBooth CS4
I need good ole' Audition for CD authoring/reauthoring, since that functionality has been taken out of SoundBooth. My question are:
- Will Audition CS2 or CS3 install properly on a W7x64 system? - Will the two peacefully live together, without any conflicts? - Will Audition be recognized as audio editing tool along with SoundBooth by PremPro CS4? Thank you, |

Yes, Yes, and don't know.
Audition will not support recording in Vista or Windows 7, but it will edit just fine. If you have Aero enabled, it will force your desktop back to standard Windows colors while it is running. I have both installed on my Windows 7 system and they work just fine (except for recording in Audition as I mentioned above.) |

Adobe has a patch/update for Audition CS3.
Once installed, I have been able to record on Vista 64 system using Audition CS3.x and an M-Audio USB audio interface. I haven't had a chance to try it on Win7 64 yet.

Ervin,
Yes to all your questions. Audition CS3 lives peacefully with CS4, from CS4 you can edit with Audition and it does not impact on SB. I use it all the time with Win7-64. No problems. |

Premiere CS4 lives happily alongside Audition CS2 on Windows 7 64 bit as well. The only problem is you end up with two generations of Adobe Bridge installed, but this does not appear to affect operations.
You can edit the audio from the Premiere timeline in Audition too. |
