Adobe Encore music menu issue
Hi,
I have recently purchased CS4 and currently authoring/burning one of my first bluray DVD's. I am keeping it simple at the moment with only still menus & a few videos. Anyway, all has been going well. I have figured out the best export settings from Final Cut Pro and have had minimal troubles importing the files into encore and burning them successfully onto a bluray dvd. But... there is an issue with the menu. I want to have music playing in the background of a still menu. Seems simple. It's an mp3 file, and in the preview/simulation for dvd, all works fine. It's when the bluray DVD is authored and playing on a bluray player that's where the issue is. The first second or two of the song is repeated over and over (the menu constantly resets itself). I've checked/tried a few things... - The audio file is fine and plays fine (had no troubles burning it on a sd dvd via dvd studio pro, but that's apples when encore is more bananas) - Have converted the file from .mp3 to .wav and .ac3 (as I read those were recommended for encore) yet problem still persists. - Previewed the dvd before it was burnt each time - and plays fine in the preview - it's just once its on the blu ray dvd, that's when the problem occurs. Have tried it with another .mp3 and the problem still persists so I am imagining it's not the actual file but more of a transcoding/authoring issue. A still menu - no music in background works fine. It's just when adding music there is an issue. Can anyone help me? Been searching for known problems on this forum & on others but haven't found a solution so I thought, since I have been given great advice here in the past - surely someone out there can help! |

First a Blu Ray DVD does not exist, just as a flying submarine does not exist. It is either a Blu Ray Disk (BRD / airplane) or a DVD (submarine).
Your best chance is to ensure that the length of the MP3 file equals the length of your menu in duration. If you make them both 30 seconds and set it to loop, it works fine from my experience, both in CS3 and CS4. |
