Cache File Location Preference at DVinfo.net

Is CS4 supposed to save user Preferences as part of its project?

If I close one saved project, and open another.... the second project begins to rewrite the media cache files to the previous project's locale.

Yeah, the file location settings are global.

Yet another feature that causes me to wonder if anyone at Adobe has ever actually tried to use Premiere.
