AE or PP CS4 - quick cuts?
I was wondering if anybody has come up with an efficient way to perform fast cuts of different clips to create a very quick sequence that would sync with a drum roll or anything like that. I think it could be done by rendering each clip out as image sequences then importing them and placing one-by-one...but is there a better way?

Hi David. In After Effects place each clip as a layer, the add Effects/Strobe Light to all the layers (except the last one if you don't want black sections) set Strobe to Make Layer Transparent then play with the strobe timings on each of the layers to turn off or on at whatever speed/duration you like. Hope that helps.

Thats a pretty slick way of doing it. With some tweaking I think this might work perfectly. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

If you go the image sequence way in AE, you can import the images into a comp and sequence the layers with any duration and overlap you choose.
