OnLocation FW only?!
Wow, I just bought Premiere for our Mac so that I could capture the SDI out on our camera. I had always loved DVRack and heard they had done a lot to upgrade it. Imagine my shock when I found out it still only works with DV input. Okay, my bad - need to check into the specs more. In my defense our trial had run out long ago and I could not reactivate it to try with our new HD camera.
Premiere is now going back to Adobe, though I will continue to sue the products on our Windows machines. So, is the ONLY way to get SDI into a Mac by using FCP?! Man, that would seriously stink. |

No, you can use Decklink HD Extreme, Decklink studio and Multibridge to capture from SDI in Premiere Pro or in Blackmagic Design Media Express.

Thx Roger. Have been doing more research it does appear that you can capture SDI into Premiere even though OnLocation does not support it. Who'd a thunk it?
