Can't import any .mov files into Premiere
I have a collection of .mov files from FootageFirm, in addition to some .mov files that were given to me as B-Roll from an NGO for use in a video production. I'm running PPro CS4 on Win 7 x64, on a brand-new 3DBoxx system. I've downloaded and installed the latest edition of Quicktime (free version). Whenever I try importing the .mov files into Premiere, I get that nasty little message that says they are not compatible and cannot be opened. What do I need to do to access them? I can open them just fine with CS3 on an older machine...
Thanks! |

do the files open in quicktime?
if so, open them and find out what codec they are in. Window -> show movie inspector |

Yeah, it sounds like your missing a codec. The QT trick should tell you what it is. Then go find it and install it then it should be all tickety boo.
