Where to put data cache?
Howdy,
I have 3 Sata disk in a system: First disk is 160 Gigs for windows and programs; second disk is 1 Tera is for the media (video clips, graphics, texts, etc...); Third disk (1 Tera) is for final output (the renders go to this disk). My question is in what disk should I point for premiere media cache files/databases/encore media for best performance? Thanks. |

In general make sure that you spread the disk reading and writing across as many disks as you have. |

Hello Harm,
Thanks for the reply...I don't know if I understood your reply all trough. I do render the timeline, I edit (all the media is located in second disk) the project and when done I render the project to output the rendered file into third disk. So then, if I'm write you sugest to put the media cache in third disk (final output)? I this right? Can I do something else to improve performance with what I have? Thanks |
