CS4 project to CS3
The title of this thread should make obvious how my opinion of CS4 is shaping up.
Is there an effective method to getting a CS4 project into CS3..... if you have both versions running, can a copy & paste of project bins and/or sequences be done? Short of that, what about an AAF export/import? Does that retain f/x on individual clips? |

CS4 to CS3 not possible
Marty
Being that you have both versions, you have probably worked out by now that you can't open a CS4 project in CS3, no matter what you try.

I did a test run in CS4 for a recent project. Then it wouldn't export and encode with the new media encoder. So I had to export to AAF and import into CS3, but it did not retain any effects or transitions. You'd think they'd build in a compatibility mode or something to go back and forth between their own products.
