audio levels after encoding!

I have a 30 minute program that I'm encoding for DVD via Adobe Media Encoder. After it's encoded and burned to a DVD, the music levels are all over the place - some cuts are almost too soft to hear, all are lower than they should be. It's stereo music mixed with a mono announce track that was "left filled" onto the right track, too.

The audio was actually low on the timeline - I'm thinking I must have altered the level for the layer at somepoint, which lowered the volume I had already set. STUPID!
