CS4 Has now stopped alowing me to capture anything but DV
Just like the title says any ideas??? No HDV settings are available at all. Also the media encoder has decided it will not work and crashes every time I try to out put something.

This is a paid, registered, activated version? Not the trial?

A number of peolpe have experienced this behaviour, after updating to 4.1 their version got a trial status. The only reliable solution, cumbersome and time consuming, is to uninstall, run the Cleanscript 2 or 3 times and then reinstall.

Well I figured out a work around on the media encoder. After some searching on the Adobe forums I created a new user account on the computer, logged on the new account opened it up and away it went. Now tell me this thing doesn't have some MAJOR BUGS!!! Once again adobe has seen the very last penny of my money.

Oh and to get my HDV settings back I completely uninstalled CS4 and then reinstalled. More productive hours wasted BETA testing for adobe.

I try to keep my machine (c)lean and mean and have not experienced what you did. Nor do I know what pollution/corruption you have gathered in time. One thing I do know is that ranting about the beta stage of software does not help. Especially since your problems can not be replicated by a lot of other people, so it may not be a bug, but just your system.
If your car doesn't start (because the battery is empty or you are out of fuel, or forgot your car keys) is that a bug by the car manufacturer? I can feel the frustration when you have an appointment and you can't get there in time, but where is the fault? |

Harm the system is about two weeks old and only has CS4 installed on it. So it's about as lean and clean as it can get. The problems I have been experiencing are so common it only took about 15 min to find work arounds on the Adobe site. They know these bugs are here and even have trouble shoot sheets for them.
