Time lapse test in Premiere Pro CS4

I'm testing out PP CS4 and I'm running into trouble trying to do time lapse. I speed up the clip a 1000% and it has a hard time rendering.

I did the same test in Movie Maker and I can get it to go to almost 8000% with no issues.

I'm currently running i7 920, radeon 4850, 6 GB of RAM, 1 TB raid 0.

If I speed up the clip to 8000% it crashes PP CS4.

I'm thinking it might be my scratch disc is the same as my boot drive. Funny that Movie Maker can do a smooth preview and PP CS4 can't!!
