creating blue Ray content without transcoding

I am recording HDV using the Canon XH A1 and editing in premiere Pro CS three. I am not using an intermediate codec. I am editing at 1080i and add outputting to Encore and creating blue Ray disk folders. Most of the project does not contain color correction or other effects that would require transcoding. I am using MPEG-2 for my blue Ray folders. Under those circumstances I would like to avoid transcoding the HDV source material. When the blue Ray folders is created.

when I export to Encore I am offered a number of preset encoding settings. Do any of these match the source material in a way that would avoid unnecessary transcoding?

Thank you in advance for any tips

Kevin

All your footage will be re-encoded and cause a generation loss. That is one of the benfits of editing MPEG material.
