MPG2 vs. H.264--BDR for playback on Playstation3

Can anyone recommend mpg2 over h.264 for the PS3? Why? Their documentation claims the device supports both, has anyone ever had problems with either?

The project is a wedding shot 1080i60 on a Canon XH-A1, edited as interlaced CFHD, with a trial version of Cineform AspectHD on CS3. I'm exporting from CS3 using Cineform Player, transcoding could be done in CS3 or CS4. Are there any advantages to using CS4?

Many thanks, David.
