HV30 to Adobe OnLocation

I am looking into OnLocation for my MacBook Pro as it is now available for CS4. I am just wondering what everyone's experience's are with it. If it is set up, does it have as good as quality recording to the actual Mini DV tape in a HV30? Could it be used for maybe a external monitor to look for focus?

I've used it on a PC laptop and it works really well. Quality is identical to that on the tape so there's no trade off nor advantage there. Depending upon the screen resolution on the computer you absolutely can use it to set focus. The display will lag about a second or so behind real time, but that shouldn't matter for focus.
