Recording Capture Problem
I am using Premiere Elements and a Canon XH A1. Up to now I have had little or no problems uploading video using the capture feature in Elements. But today was different.
First off, it takes ridiculously long for the program to recognize that I have the camera plugged in (I am using a 4-to-6 pin firewire). Once it finally does that, and I push the capture button, nothing happens. The tape on my camera runs, but it is not being picked up by the program. After I stop the tape, I get a message saying "The recorder captured no frames." I have no idea what could be causing this. The only thing that has changed since the last time I uploaded film was a hard drive defragment, which should not be causing this. What can I do?
