CS3 capture on Mac, faulty framerate
Hi,
I am helping a friend capturing HDV on a mac from a Canon XH-A1 using Premire Pro CS3 with all the latest updates. After we have captured it Premiere states that it is 30fps instead of 25 which is the correct framerate. The clip can't be viewed - it states something in the line of that the clip is being processed but nothing happens. I forgot the exact words but it seemed to have been captured though. We have tried using iMovie and it captures correctly and the project frame rate and format of HDV is all correct. Is there any codec or Quicktime Pro required or something? I am a PC-person so I have little clue what is required for it to work. Thanks!

Solved...
Well, weird as this might sound - we solved it by using a shorter path closer to the root (earler test projects had a very long path). The error was "media pending". It might have been that the path had special characters but I don't think so and the filesystem approved them of course. Anyway.. problem solved! :)
