Premiere and XDCAM EX
Hello everyone,
As of late I have been using Premiere for most of my work. A great majority of the work which is SD. I have done a little work with HDV in Premiere. It was a real headache to work with HDV, (long loading times, long render times, and general instability of the program). I couldn't imagine doing a half hour long program in HDV with premiere. Does the XDCAM EX footage behave similarly in Premiere since it is also a long-GOP Mpeg2 stream? Anyone cutting half hour or hour long programs with Premiere in XDCAM EX? Success? Thanks |

It is your computer. I do long form HDV as easily as DV with Premiere Pro Cs3.

I agree - it might be time to get a faster system.
XDCAM EX footage works well for me, as does HDV. |
