How to preview HDV using DVI-HDMI adaptor
Hi
I have a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT card also supports and comes with the DVI-to-HDMI adaptor (shown here attached to the 2900 XT) that can also output digital audio thanks to the on-die audio codec. Currently running Premiere CS3 to edit SD-HDV clips. With the above adaptor, how to set and view my premiere preview output? I have a LCD TV with HDMI input, playback 1080i.

Hi K.C...................
I presume you have some sort of software to configure the graphics card and tell it there is an HDTV attached to the second port.
As far as I know, the only other thing you need to do is turn "Use Video Overlays" on in, er, uhm, hang on, it'll come to me..............blimey, serious senior moment, er, somewhere on your computer! (Hangs head in shame and slinks off site.........) CS |

There's also a setting in Premier Pro preferences that will let you set the "second" computer monitor output from your card as video out and will display full screen video. I expect that you could connect your TV/monitor and select that preference option. This is for a PC. I have no idea if the same thing works on the Mac.
I'm wondering about overlays. I've never done anything with them on my system. |

Finaly got it right on Premier CS preview video setup and ATI 2nd LCD TV setup. By selecting the 2nd monitor output. Thanks for the info.
