Updates not installing - is this happening to anyone else?
So I left my computer on all night to download the updates to my Creative Suite 3 Production Premium Package, which includes Premiere and a bunch of others.
When I woke up, the updater was waiting to install the updates. I clicked OK... Anyway, every time in the past that I've had updates from Adobe, there's ALWAYS one update that doesn't work when it comes to installing. This time there were five: Adobe Reader Illustrator Encore Premiere After Effects Why did I waste so much of my monthly usage for something that I'm just going to have to do again? It made me so mad! Worst of all, it told me that Premiere would need to be re-installed!! The other programs just said that the update failed but didn't say that the product needed re-installing... Have other people encountered this? What should I do to get the updates? And does Premiere really need re-installing? EDIT: This could all be because I hadn't yet activated the software. Maybe... I don't really know. Last edited by John Hewat; January 12th, 2008 at 09:42 PM. |

Do you have anything like Matrox AXIO or other RAM resident plugins on your system. You usually need to disable those (end task) before updating Premiere.
