Onlocation Field Monitor Problem!
I'm using a trial version of Adobe Onlocation and can't see a video stream from my camera (Canon XHA1 PAL) in the field monitor component.
I'm running the software on a Vista OS laptop. When I plug in the camera, the software recognises the unit and the field monitor even gives a message stating a video input has been detected. Am I doing something wrong?? Help! |

Ok, I've established that the camera or the software (I think) aren't causing the problem, as my desktop PC (XP based) is running the software and showing the live feed in the field monitor.
I suspect therefore that it's a problem with my laptop. Could it be Vista or possibly a graphics card driver causing this problem? It's a Sony Vaio laptop (does that answer any issues?) Help! :-S Thanks in advance |

Probably has to do with the laptop's display--overlay needs to be on.
I have to go through all kinds of gyrations to get my setup (old DVRack) to work (turn ON the external display and then turn it off). Last time, I wasn't actually able to see it on the screen but the waveform works and the recording is fine. Later, I found a control for overlay in the nvidia controls--it was turned off, I turned it on: I had a picture on my screen.

I'm sure markertek.com would love to sell you one. But there must be something closer to home.
