HDV Rack freezes-often
HDV 2.0 keeps on freezing, not the whole program but the input. The picture in the 'monitor' as well as the waveform and Vectorscope images cease to update. I have to switch the input device to my audio card, then switch back to the camera, to get the picture 'live' again.
There is no red bar warning that I have lost my input, it just freezes. If I'm doing hard disk recording, that stops too. I thought it might be a loose cable giving me intermittent connection, but I gave the dv cable the 'big wiggle' test a few times and it was fine. And the freeze would happen when there was no physical movement with the camera at all. So I figure that it might be some concurrent system operations that interrupt HDV Rack? Anyway, has any one else experienced similar problems? Do you know the minimum tasks that Win XP needs to run on startup, so I can delete the rest? Oh, and just to make things a bit more confusing, I'm running Win XP on a Macbook with BootCamp. But ANY suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. |

Make sure no other programs like virus scanners are running in the background. Secondly check the firewire connections and cable.
