Adobe + HDV Guide
Hello. I have quite a few questions about going HDV. My old college roommate and I are trying to start doing extra freelance projects to help pay back our blasted loans (at a private school).
My question is, is there any good guides about editing in HDV on a window's computer. We are planning on sticking with Adobe CS3 - since the huge student discount. It would be nice if the guide covered a few of these topics: PC Development (what specs) Capture or Preview Cards (decklink/intensty pro) Codecs (Aspect HD/Cineform) Burning DVD (HDV 4.2.0 to DVD) If I can't find them, I'll end up back here and ask these questions separately. It'll just be nice to get some more information on all these topics before we even begin. We'll be shooting HDV with an Canon A1 and a Canon HV20. Thanks! Adam Chapman |

These forums are very good for learning. I have a lot of info on my website www.hd4pc.com but not really step-by-step guides. I primarily discuss the pros and cons of different workflow solutions. There are Adobe Premiere books that might help you out. I know this one covers HDV:
