Down convert question
I am using PPro 1.5
I have shot footage with a Sony Z1U in HDV 16:9 and wish to down convert to SD within PPro 1.5 but I do not want to use the Z1U or a deticated HDV deck as my "deck", so my question is can I use a consumer HDV camera such as a Sony HC7 or a like consumer model to down convert the HDV 16:9 footage to my SD workstation? I am trying to avoid using my Z1U as a deck and I would rather buy a 1,000.00 model consumer camera such as a HC7 as the deticated deck for doing so. Thanks in advance for your help! -Joe |

Yes, that'll work fine. I have two refurbed HC3s I use as decks for the footage I shoot with my FX1 on Premiere 1.5.1, and it works great.
