Basic editing equipment questions
I'm wondering how powerful a computer I need to cut small independent 3D projects on a Mac and what the pros & cons are for software?
Currently I only have a MacbookPro IntelCore 2 Duo with 4Mg max memory and a 2.4 Ghz processor w a Dell 24" monitor. I also have a Matrox MXO if that helps. As I recall I tried a trial version of Neo3d last year and it just froze up on me. Haven't tried Stereo TV tool Box and don't know if I could run either version of it on my current computer. What are the pros & cons of Neo3D vs Stereo 3D toolbox and what's missing from the Lite edition? thanks |

Re: Basic editing equipment questions
Lenny, I've just put together a i7 / 8 core Mac system upgraded from about what you listed and can tell you flat out that it's pretty much a minimum system to use for 3D.
I had major playback issues with 3D footage using a Core Duo system and they pretty much disappeared with the i7 and 16GB RAM. Call me and I'll outline more details which are way too numerous to mention in a post here. Starr S has my phone number if you don't have, it or click on my name on the left here and access my contact info - phone# is on my website . |
